Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) is better known under her stage name Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be signed to J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. Dreamville Records released her debut album titled Pho in the month of October 2016 where she started to gain recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music online in the year 2012 after she dropped her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. Ari Lennox continued to upload her music online in 2014, which included the self-released single Bound. In 2015, she appeared on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, which came out on the 21st July. it out on July 21st. The following year, her music was circulating throughout the Dreamville team as J. Cole wanted her to join him in creating some references for Rihanna. The official signing ceremony was held to Dreamville Records on 8 December. On the release album Revenge of the Dreamers II, she appeared on the track Backseat with Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, the artist released her debut album entitled Pho. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She was joined by EarthGang. In 2018, Ari Lennox appeared on two tracks featuring EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, and Bas On Icarus. The debut album of Ari Lennox Shea Butter Baby was released on July 16, 2018. The debut single, Whipped Cream The album's first single, Whipped Cream was released on the 5th of September, 2018 and featured a the music video. Her second single, Grampa on November 9. On the 13th of November, two brand new singles, titled The No One and pedigree. She then appeared on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track entitled Shea Butter Baby on November 16, and it was released as a single on the 26th of February, 2019 for her debut album of the same title. It was released with an accompanying music video that debuted that was released on February 20, 2019, and it surpassed the milestone of 3 million views via YouTube within its first seven days. In support of the track She toured in concert with 6LACK in December of 2018 for The From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
